Senza Mai Sape’

Synopsis

Antonio Onorato composes this piece in honor of his late friend Rino Zurzolo, composer and musician. At the end of the song the author inserts the first notes of the introduction of “Anna verrà” (music and text by Pino Daniele), dedicated to Anna Magnani. In turn, Rino Zurzolo made it an instrumental version that played in his concerts in memory of Pino Daniele. In a freezing day Antonio Onorato, sitting on a bench, holds a pentagram in his hands. A passerby (GAETANO GUIDA) lost in his thoughts: a long coat, his hands in his pockets and an absorbed air. In him Onorato sees Zurzolo and, as he proceeds, he begins to write the first notes. Antonio Onorato follows him with his thoughts, imagining him looking at the horizon and imagining a WOMAN (MARGHERITA ROMEO) in a room in a house in Naples. The WOMAN is the personification of MUSIC, in every aspect of her being she represents the emotions, the torment, the anxiety of the composer. Suddenly from thoughtful and fragile, an invisible motor seems to light up in her and she begins to run in search of HIM / Rino, but when she reaches his house: he is not there. Joins her, instead a woman (ANNA RAGUCCI), personification of the actress ANNA MAGNANI, of her humanity and generosity, who, seeing the MUSIC slumped to the ground, holds out her hand, brings her to his chest to protect her in an embrace. HIM / RINO is also going home: he found the inspiration he was looking for. The eyes of women hasten and accompany him: notes and emotions that he trembles from writing. When he arrives he sees MUSIC and ANNA and, unseen, he approaches them. With a touch it shows itself to MUSIC, and finally they can merge into mutual contemplation. Antonio Onorato, meanwhile, has finished his score. He crosses the gaze of ANNA and sees that HE / RINO and SHE / MUSICA have found themselves. A nod between the two, a smile: the music was found by its author, the inspiration protected the composition.
