COVID 19 Mutation

It’s been five years since the virus spread across the world. Millions died. The survivors faced insurmountable odds to recover from the second Great Depression. There is no food, no water, or medicine. The world steeped into chaos. The only pockets of civilisation left were islands that had isolated themselves. Islands like Trinidad and Tobago. At first the government closed all our borders. They closed the beaches and the bars, the heart of island life. Some said sunlight killed it but we were made to remain indoors. They put everyone on lockdown. No one came in and nothing got out. The government said they had everything under control. Or that’s what we were told. Then the virus began to spread again. The big countries said they had a vaccine. That’s when the real nightmare began. The vaccine caused the virus to mutate. That’s when the first zombies began to arise. The cities were the first to fall, and survivors headed into the forest.
