Synopsis

“Battuglie ‘e Pastellessa” are the typical parade floats from Macerata Campania (province of Caserta, Southern Italy). A trip inside the feast in honour of Sant’Antuono, protector of fire and pets, immersed in the traditional sounds produced by barrels, vets and sickles. Macerata’s “Bottari” (“barrels’ performers”) represent an ancient tradition that is constantly renewed.
