Bob
A girl invites a costumed stranger off the street to her older sister’s dinner party. The mysterious man simply called ‘Bob’ seems friendly enough……
Suspense navigates the narrative from the off-set – the protagonist attempts to make sense of where she is and what led her to the location. Alexa Harms’s performance provides insightful viewing, but unfortunately the narrative fails to hold engagement long enough. The experimental aspect of ‘La femme disparue’ deserves high praise for its bold use of cinematography (Super 8-mm) which certainly rewards visual stimulation. Sound is equally praiseworthy.
