The 13-minute film opens with the prologue; “When they don’t want you, you know where to find us. Continue dreaming and hoping, home isn’t going anywhere”. Helene, the protagonist, undertakes dialect lessons whilst applying for roles. Persistent setbacks, due to her identity and lack of a green card, result in her asking Krish to speak with his agent. Liam, the talent agent, appears sexist and dismissive – which fuels a fire in Helene to stand up and fight for her career. A call from home gives her the confidence and spirit to keep pursuing her dream.
