What was the inspiration behind making this short film?

Was from ‘The Lighthouse’. Wondering what is real and what is not so it’ll be fun to play with the audiences mind to wonder what are they watching. Until they realize that it’s about the abuse of power.

Was there any particular challenges you had to go through to make the short film happen?

For me is to make it feel like an old school classic film even though it came out this year. Also was for the reflection sequence of seeing the same actor in the same from along with his reflection who looks completely different.

How has the short film been received?

It took a bit of people to understand what they were watching. Some don’t have patience and want to get straight to the point but that’s not what this film was about. It’s suppose to make you wonder what is going on and at the end it’ll shock and make your eyes go wide. The reviews were mixed but they ended up rewatching it with an open mind and becoming a complete success. Every film festival we’ve submitted we’ve been selected and showing all around the world.

Do you have any other projects in the pipeline?

I got enough projects that I even count my toes. Gonna need more. But the next project is called ‘Deadman’s Coat’ going back to the gangster drama genre in the present time. Along with the sequel that’s already written. But one step at a time and save up money.

What advice would you give to anyone wanting to make their first short film?

You can dream big. But if you have an idea, write it down. But the main thing is create something that you can legitimately afford as well. I’m not talking about the quality of your camera, I could care less about quality might look fancy but story is more appealing. I’ve shot with a phone, camera and even a laptop. But afford locations, know a guy who knows a guy, friends, family can all help you out. That’s how I save money but if your willing to go all the way don’t be afraid to show the world what you got.
